If you want to know where Republicans in Congress stand on the issue of climate change, look no further than the 2024 GOP platform which was finalized at their convention last month.
The platform makes no mention of climate change at all (not even one time), but it does include a call out for the fossil fuel industry: “Drill, baby, drill”
For decades, Republicans have downplayed or outright denied the existence of climate change. President Trump has called climate change a “hoax” and dodged a straightforward question about addressing the climate crisis during the last debate.
And Trump recently made a $1 billion deal with Big Oil companies to help him win this election so he can help them loosen regulations and avoid competition with clean energy.
We can’t let them implement their extreme Project 2025 agenda.
