Oklahoma,

I hope your August is off to a great start. We've been hitting the road visiting Okmulgee, Henryetta, Checotah, Sallisaw, Stigler, and more as we make the most of this state work period. Keep reading for a timely legislative update and to learn more about some of our latest community visits. If this email was forwarded to you, you can subscribe to my weekly e-newsletter here.

Oklahoma is the proud home of nearly 400,000 small businesses. Unfortunately, under the Biden-Harris administration, our job creators have been burdened by failed economic policies, increased regulations, and now – liberals are prioritizing big union bosses at the expense of small businesses across America.

I've introduced a new bill to rein in the federal bureaucracy and ensure our entrepreneurs in Oklahoma and across the country can operate their businesses as they see fit. Learn more about my legislation HERE

Visiting with Oklahomans is the most valuable way for me to hear directly from you and stay current on the needs of working businesses and families across our state. We held six public community meetings in Henryetta, Checotah, Sallisaw, Stigler, Chandler, and Okemah to give Oklahomans the chance to hear an update on my work in Washington and ask questions. No topics were off limits.

From the economy and the border crisis to infrastructure and issues with federal agencies, I truly appreciate all those who took the time to listen and lend their insights on local priorities. Later this month, we'll head to western Oklahoma for more community forums which will be open to the public! Stay tuned for details.

I also had the opportunity to tour the new Oklahoma Department of Veteran Affairs (ODVA) Center in Sallisaw with their leadership team. ODVA plans to open the doors to the 175-bed home this fall. Thank you to Executive Director Rear Admiral Jay Bynum, Deputy Director Shawn Kirkland, ODVA Commissioner Daniel Orr, and ODVA Construction Programs Administrator Nisha Young along with the rest of the leadership team for their dedication to this project and our veterans.

This week, I joined Fox News to discuss the current violence in the Middle East and the need for the Biden-Harris administration to stand up to our adversaries. Watch HERE.

Oklahomans know that when Kamala Harris was in Congress, she was ranked as the MOST liberal U.S. Senator in America, even more progressive than socialist Bernie Sanders. Now, after 3.5 years of high inflation, a self-inflicted border disaster, and an open attack on American energy, Harris wants a promotion. I unpacked her extreme record in my latest 'Mullin it Over' column HERE.
