Welcome to this week's Care Fact Friday, where we share essential information about the care industry to raise awareness and inspire action.
This week’s fact is a powerful reminder that a large number of Americans are dedicated to caring for loved ones: Around 53 million Americans are caregivers* for a family member or friend with a health issue or disability, and nearly a third spend 20 or more hours a week in that role.
Family caregivers are an often overlooked but critical part of our society, providing essential support and care. However, this role can be incredibly demanding, both emotionally and financially, especially when coupled with work and other responsibilities.
At NDWA we believe that every caregiver deserves recognition, support, and the opportunity to thrive. We are committed to building a caring society that supports these unsung heroes through our advocacy, resources, and community programs.

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.
Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
