JStreetPAC

Friends,

I have some incredible news to share.

All week, we’ve been highlighting how J Street has cemented its status as the mainstream voice on Israel in the Jewish community, in American politics and in the Democratic Party.

We’ve shared how we now endorse over 60 percent of all House and Senate Democrats, not to mention Vice President Harris and Governor Walz.

We’ve outlined how – even in this moment of intense polarization over Israel – J Street stands firmly in the mainstream of our community, offering a sane and balanced path between those who think Israel is always right and those who think Israel is always wrong.

Today, I’m thrilled to also share with you that, as we head into the Democratic National Convention, we have already raised nearly $10 million for our endorsees – shattering all JStreetPAC records.

And – significantly – we’ve raised $3.4 million for the Harris-Walz campaign, making J Street this election cycle’s biggest PAC bundler for the presidential ticket in the Jewish community.

We’re on a breathtaking roll – playing a vital part in the campaign to protect our democracy, with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Other pro-Israel groups may raise more money in total – but they’re raising it from MAGA-supporting mega-donors and using it to drive a wedge in the Democratic Party and to support the election-denying insurrectionist caucus within the Republican Party.

J Street has chosen a different path – a path firmly grounded in shared values and supported by the majority of Jewish Americans.

We’re protecting champions of diplomacy and democracy, and we solely endorse and support pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy candidates.

Thus far, we’ve distributed about $6 million to critical House and Senate campaigns, including hundreds of thousands each for allies in Congress like Susan Wild, Yadira Caraveo, Chris Deluzio, Sherrod Brown, Tammy Baldwin, Bob Casey and more.

There’s been a lot of discussion this cycle about the role of another pro-Israel group, AIPAC, in the 2024 election, as they’ve raised money heavily from Republican mega-donors and spent it in Democratic primaries.

J Street’s focus is on helping champions of pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy policy win. In many cases where we’re endorsing the same candidate as AIPAC, we’re bringing in significantly more for those candidates – for instance, in support of these three frontline Democrats:

  • $123K more for Susan Wild
  • $69K more for Chris Deluzio
  • $62K more for Yadira Caraveo

And in the key races that will determine which party controls Congress, we’re endorsing 12 top-priority “red-to-blue” candidates, including Rebecca Cooke (WI-3) and Carl Marlinga (MI-10). Cooke is running against Derrick Van Orden, an election denier who joined the Trump rally on January 6. Marlinga is running against John James, who – like so many we’re opposing – voted to strip $14 billion from IRS enforcement funds to provide aid to Israel while excluding aid for both the Palestinian people and our ally Ukraine.

JStreetPAC’s politics and priorities are clear. They speak for the majority of our pro-peace, diplomacy-first community.

These achievements – record endorsements and record fundraising – are a testament to the dedication and power of our community. We’ve not only matched the moment – we’ve exceeded expectations and set new standards for what’s possible. Let’s keep this momentum going as we continue to push for the change we believe in.

Thank you for being part of this incredible movement,

Tali deGroot
