A Dark Anniversary đ
The Biden-Harris camp is desperately hoping you forgot about this blunderâbut
brazen terrorists wonât let you, and neither will I.
This week, the Taliban paraded billions of dollarsâ worth of U.S. military
vehicles, helicopters, and weapons around the streets of Afghanistan, right
near our former HQ atBagram Air Base
<[link removed]>
.
Like a slap in the face, this was all to commemorate the third anniversary
<[link removed]>
of Americaâs chaotic Afghanistan withdrawalâand theyâve gone as far as making
it anational holiday
<[link removed]>
.
The fallout from this catastrophic exit will go down in history as the
Biden-Harris administrationâs lowest moment. Donât believe me? Letâscount the
ways
<[link removed]>
they failed miserably and left terrorists with an arsenal to use against us.
Hereâs a grim tally of what was left behind at Bagram:
* Nearly $1 billion in military aircraft
* 40,000 military vehicles
* 300,000 weapons
* Tens of millions of dollarsâ worth of ammunition for those weapons
* Communications items, including night vision and surveillance equipment
But the most sickening outcome of this disaster was the loss of 13 U.S.
service members killed in a terrorist attack during evacuations at an airport
in Kabul. One of those wasStaff Sgt. Ryan Knauss
<[link removed]>
of East Tennessee, a 23-year-old hero who was taken from us too soon.
The road I live nearby, SSG Ryan C. Knauss Memorial Highway,
<[link removed]>
was named in his honor, so I think about this tremendous loss nearly every day.
Iâve held his parents when theyâve cried, promising to do everything I can to
remember him and protect his legacy. Theyâre the reason I recently introduced
legislation
<[link removed]>
to make sure our tax dollars donât go to the monsters who are responsible for
his death.
The withdrawal wasnât just a tactical failure; it was a pathetic display of
American weakness on the world stage, and to make matters worse, President
Biden and Vice President Harris have the blood of American patriots on their
hands.
Our nation deserves leadership that stands firm against our enemies and values
our heroesâand I pray thatâs what the American people choose this November.
