THIS IS HUGE: Just hours ago, the Supreme Court struck down an NRA-backed lawsuit that sought to roll back nearly every gun safety law across the country.
The lawsuit would have been a disaster for our safety. The NRA and its allies were pushing for a radical reinterpretation of the Second Amendment — one that would have put even the most basic gun safety laws at risk of being repealed. But today, the Supreme Court ruled to call the case moot, delivering a huge blow to the troubled NRA!

When the justices heard arguments back in December, we mobilized our base, arriving at 4 a.m., and braved the cold and rain to rally outside of the Supreme Court. We took legal action, too, filing an amicus brief in the case. And we showed our power.
John, we won against the NRA today, but there are more attacks on the horizon. In their ruling today, four Supreme Court justices signaled that they want to hear another Second Amendment case in the near future. And that means we must remain ready to fight for our safety from gun violence.
