Last month during the Republican National Convention, I reached out asking
you to join me in calling on President Biden to submit his nominees for
the United States Postal Service Board of Governors. That’s the first step
in removing Louis DeJoy from his position as Postmaster General.

John, Biden
has now submitted his nominees to the Senate. Including my good friend and
former colleague Val Demings from Florida.

[ [link removed] ]Now, we need to call on the United States Senate to take up these
nominations with haste. Until then, Louis DeJoy can continue to wreak
havoc on the Postal Service, causing more mail delays, price increases,
and issues right before the election. Add your name and join me in putting
pressure on the Senate today.

I’ve long called for President Biden to submit his nominees for the USPS
Board of Governors to the Senate so they can confirm members to fill the
two vacant seats and finally vote to remove Louis DeJoy — and I’m glad
that he has finally done so.

As the finance chair of the Republican National Committee, DeJoy raised
and contributed millions to GOP candidates.

He was investigated by the FBI for an alleged straw donor scheme with his
employees, where he would award bonuses as kickbacks for political
contributions.

He slowed down the mail during the 2020 election, at the height of the
pandemic, and has repeatedly raised prices while providing worse service.

He even attempted to purchase 90% gasoline-powered vehicles for the Postal
Service fleet instead of moving to a greener fleet, until we passed
legislation and he finally gave in.

John,
millions of Americans who rely on the
Postal Service deserve better. It’s time for DeJoy to go.
