Diet
Caracals feed on small mammals, as well as birds, lizards, snakes, fish, and more. Agile hunters, they can also snatch flying birds out of the air with a single bound. |
Habitat
They live in a wide variety of habitats, including savannas, woodlands, and desert-like regions across Africa and southwestern Asia |

The caracal is probably best known for its remarkable ears. Each ear has more than 20 muscles that help them swivel around to detect sounds of prey. The tufts may amplify sound going into their ears or be used to communicate with others. |
