Friend, I know what it's like to be the underdog: Heading into Election Day for my first race in Congress, I was given just a 37% chance to win.

It was 2018, and I was running against a 22-year incumbent who had run unopposed in his previous election.

Everyone said I had no chance, but that didn’t stop me. We knocked on doors, talked to voters everywhere, and built a powerful grassroots movement. And thanks to that hard work, I ended up winning by more than 6 points.

That’s why I feel so confident when I tell you that we can beat Ted Cruz – because I’ve been here before.

The only difference is that we have a lot less ground to make up. Cruz won his last race by just over 2%, and right now, three polls have shown us statistically tied.

To be honest, the only thing that could hold us back is not having the resources to communicate with voters.

Running statewide in Texas is wildly expensive, and right-wing groups are gearing up to spend tens of millions to defeat me. Just like in 2018, I’m counting on a strong grassroots team to help me win – including you, friend.

I need to raise $100,000 a day to keep this movement going strong, and I simply can't do that without your help. So please, will you make your first gift of $5 or more right now to make sure I have the resources it will take to defeat Ted Cruz?

Thanks so much for your support,

Colin
