We are excited to introduce the 5 outstanding changemakers named winners of the 2024 World Justice Challenge ([link removed]) ! This year's theme, "The Rule of Law: Foundation of Democracy," and the courage of 30 remarkable finalists from 23 countries resonated at our action-packed "Meeting the Challenge" convening.

Electoral Processes Prize: Pacto Pela Democracia
A Brazilian coalition of civil society organizations worked to prevent election disruptions through their award-winning project, Protect Democracy: Safeguarding integrity and rule of law in Brazil's 2022 election ([link removed]) .

Justice Institutions Prize: Justice Reform Foundation
A Taiwan-based human rights organization that mobilizes lawyers and civil society to advance judicial reform and the rule of law. Their award-winning project, Legal Service for the Sunflower Movement: Protecting civil disobedience rights in Taiwan ([link removed]) focused on shielding student protesters from violence and retaliation.

Media and Information Prize: Media Foundation for West Africa
A Ghana-based investigative journalism collective fighting corruption and impunity. Their project, The Fourth Estate: Using independent journalism to enhance accountability and rule of law ([link removed]) received recognition for its efforts to strengthen democratic principles through investigative reporting.

Youth Engagement Prize: Politize! – Civic Education Institute
A Brazil-based initiative focused on promoting civic education and engagement in Latin America. Their project, Democracy in Action: Empowering a Generation with Politize! ([link removed]) earned acclaim for its innovative approach to fostering democratic participation among young people.

U.S. Building Trust Prize: Common Cause
A U.S.-based public interest organization working to ensure fair elections and government accountability. Their Fair Maps 2030: Making redistricting inclusive, transparent, and nonpartisan ([link removed]) project gained recognition for its efforts to ensure equitable representation across voting districts.
