Stories of Struggle, Triumph and Resilience
The Olympics may be over but we're still cheering on a group of inspiring athletes. Our Partners for Hope team is training to run 26.2 miles in the TCS NYC Marathon in November. These team members play a vital role in our mission – they motivate us with their personal stories and raise funds to support more families with our resources and services. Here are some of our runners:
The Jameson Brothers
Brothers Bear ([link removed] ) , Will ([link removed] ) and Walter ([link removed] ) Jameson have joined our team together. Their mission is to celebrate Bear and his recovery, while helping other families that have also been affected by addiction.
“Family support is such an important piece of solving the addiction crisis, and I’m grateful my brothers and I can be part of the solution. We will never forget this experience.”
- Walter, Partners for Hope Team Captain
Annabelle
Annabelle Osborne ([link removed] ) lost her dad to an overdose in 2020. After experiencing such a profound loss, she channeled her energy into being part of the solution to the addiction crisis by going into public health research – focusing on opioid use disorder.
“My father struggled with opioid addiction for years, and he overdosed a few months into the COVID-19 pandemic. I miss him every day. Dad’s struggle inspired me to go into public health research where my main focus has been opioid use disorder and opioid addiction on the East Coast. This year I am honored to run on the Partners for Hope team for the New York City Marathon. I hope that it brings awareness to addiction and encourages families to get the support they need.” - Annabelle
