Practice makes perfect

Hi Friend,
We’ve had a wonderful first week of simulation training on board our Flying Eye Hospital.
During week one, more than 70 local residents and ophthalmologists had the opportunity to practice their surgical skills on both artificial eyes and virtual reality. Rotating through the subspecialties of cataract, glaucoma, retina laser, and strabismus, those taking part received hands-on experience in complex surgeries that they can use to better treat their communities — all thanks to people like you.

Simulation provides the opportunity for local eye health professionals to practice and perfect their techniques before moving on to human eyes. This foundational learning sets up live surgical training for success.
We'd like to say a huge thank you to you, our amazing supporters, for giving eye teams in Mongolia an opportunity to train using the latest ophthalmic simulation equipment.
Gratefully,
Team Orbis
