ANABEL FIGUEROA MUST RESIGN FOLLOWING ANTISEMITIC COMMENTS
MIDDLETOWN — Before Tuesday’s state primary, a video from Stamford
Representative Anabel Figueroa, D-Stamford surfaced in which Figueroa

rd/ antisemitic remarks. To be specific, she
urged voters against permitting “a person who is of Jewish origin, of
Jewish origin, to represent our community. It’s impossible.” Today,
another video came to light which includes more antisemitic comments
from Rep. Figueroa.
“Antisemitism has no place in America, and it certainly should not be
propagated by elected officials in our state. I am calling on Stamford
Democrat Rep. Anabel Figueroa to immediately
resign from public office,” said Connecticut Republican Party Chairman
Ben Proto.
“It is appalling that instances of antisemitism continue to occur in
Connecticut. And this is not the first time in recent memory of
antisemitism in Stamford. Just three weeks ago,

were found painted at Stamford's AITE high school. As I did then, I am
again urging Connecticut officials to publicly denounce antisemitism.
“Following the horrific attacks on October 7 th and the antisemitic
protests that swept college campuses across America, it is painfully
clear that hate against Jewish people is on the rise. The Connecticut
Republican Party stands with our Jewish neighbors and stand against
antisemitism. We are calling on every elected official to affirm their
commitment to ending hate against Jewish
people, and join me in calling for the resignation of Rep. Figueroa”
said Proto.
