Dear John,
Be part of a national mobilization of people standing up for peace and Palestinian lives *this* Sunday, August 18 from 4-6pm in Loring Park in Minneapolis.
The Democratic National Convention starts next week on August 19. At this critical moment in the presidential election cycle, we’re coming together in a series of actions across the U.S. to tell Harris, Walz, and the Democratic Party: not another bomb.
Here’s why:
🕊 The people want peace: 70 percent of Democratic voters want an arms embargo and 86 percent want a ceasefire. Harris, Walz, and the Democratic Party must hear us to save lives and defeat Trump.
🌱 Fund our communities – not genocide: Investing billions in weapons for a government committing human rights abuses is a betrayal of our own communities’ needs. It’s time to redirect our resources toward life – not violence.
⛅ We’re fighting for a shared future: Uncommitted voters could have disengaged, given up, moved on – instead, we’re getting more deeply involved in our democracy, organizing for a future we can believe in.
A ceasefire is only possible if the U.S. stops sending bombs to Israel. Not another bomb. Arms embargo now.
Join us Sunday.
In solidarity,
Walter Fromm (he/him)
