I am very excited to share that I just received the endorsement of the Committee to Protect Health Care, a national organization of over 20,000 doctors and healthcare advocates across the country! 

 

The Committee to Protect fights to expand health care access, lower costs for patients, and protect reproductive rights. I am so grateful that they recognize my commitment to these critical issues that impact American families every single day.

 

I’m headed to Salmon, ID this Saturday to share our campaign with more voters, and then I’m packing my bags to head to the DNC in Chicago.

 

I’ll spend next week in a whole new world: networking with members of Congress, attending seminars on LGBTQ+ representation and healthcare, and sharing ideas with other red-state Democrats on how we can help flip the House this year.

 

I’m not making the trip to have a good time. I’m going to represent Idaho and voters like the folks I’ll see on Saturday. This district is 99% rural, and our voices matter just as much as those in every other congressional district.

The only thing stopping us from flipping this seat and the state blue is a lack of resources. The DNC is our opportunity to tell Democrat leaders from all over the country why Idaho deserves their attention and support.

The team had to pull from our August budget to afford the travel and hotel stay in Chicago. If we don’t make it back ASAP, we risk having to scale back our other events and outreach efforts this month.

 

We can’t let next week’s opportunity to represent working class families and LGBTQ+ Idahoans stop me from fighting for them in Congress next year. Can you pitch in ANYTHING today to put us back on track to flip this seat?

There have been so many twists and turns this election season, but the best one will come on November 5th when Mike Simpson finds out that ID-02 finally gave him the boot.
