IDOT closes hazardous intersection
at Harvey Road and Route 30

Traffic will be routed through signal at Treasure Drive

Harvey Road will be permanently closed at Route 30 with a cul-de-sac. Traffic will instead move through Treasure Drive at Route 30.
This morning, Monday, April 27, the Illinois Department of Transportation closed the intersection of Harvey Road at Route 30 to install a cul-de-sac, permanently closing traffic at the hazardous intersection near Oswego East High School.

Traffic on Route 30 will instead access Oswego East and adjacent homes and businesses from Treasure Drive, where a new traffic signal has been installed at Treasure Drive and Route 30. The signal includes equipment that senses and allows emergency vehicles through the intersection when emergency lights are enabled.
