Right now all eyes are on Georgia for all the wrong reasons.
Governor Kemp has decided that in this time of unprecedented crisis, with nearly 23,000 COVID-19 cases dotting his state and nearly a thousand dead, now is the time to open up hair salons, tattoo parlors, restaurants, and even bowling alleys. At the same time, we have President Trump musing about the possibility of injecting disinfectants as a way to cure the disease.
Let me be clear:
we can’t let this kind of dangerous, incompetent leadership prevail. That’s why it’s more important than ever that we have the resources to win — can I count on you to pitch in?
This is crazy — and the mismanagement and incompetence in Georgia and nationally are putting us dangerously at risk of another wave of COVID cases and deaths in our great state. All of this is, of course, occurring in a state where the Republican leadership has fought tooth and nail against every effort to help expand access to affordable, quality health care!
Georgia needs leaders who prioritize people’s lives over profit, and who can articulate a clear path forward that will protect our health and reboot our economy.
We’ve got 6 weeks before our primary election and between now and then, it’s going to be a sprint to the finish line. This is the moment that we can show them what we’re made of and that we won’t stand for their incompetent leadership anymore. Georgia is ready for change.
