Governor Gordon Appoints New CIO for Enterprise Technology Services
CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Governor Mark Gordon has announced the appointment of Jeff Clines as the new Chief Information Officer of the Department of Enterprise Technology Services (ETS). He replaces ETS’ Chief Information Security Officer Aaron Roberts, who has served as Interim Director since April. Clines comes to Wyoming from South Dakota, where he served since 2020 as Chief Information Officer for the South Dakota Bureau of Information & Telecommunication. Clines’ 25 years of experience in the information technology industry include serving as CIO for the Illinois Secretary of State’s office and as Director of Enterprise Applications for the American Heart Association. “In this era of persistent cybersecurity threats, it is imperative that our state’s technology remain up-to-date and that we competently address cybersecurity challenges in order for our state government to function effectively,” Governor Gordon said. “Jeff brings experience from leading a similar agency in South Dakota. He is an excellent choice for this important role.” “I am thrilled to join Wyoming's ETS team and deeply grateful for the trust and leadership of Governor Gordon, his administration, and the dedicated professionals at ETS. I eagerly anticipate collaborating with this talented group, and the leadership across state agencies as we work together to serve Wyoming citizens,” Clines said. Established in 2012, the mission of ETS is to collaborate with all levels of government to provide excellent technology services, empowering the citizens of Wyoming to live and work more securely, efficiently and productively. Cline’s appointment is effective September 9, 2024. -END-
