NASN announces the search for the Editor of The Journal of School Nursing (JOSN). This peer-reviewed, bimonthly publication has been servicing the field of school nursing in pursuit of high-impact content since its beginning in the 1980s. NASN is accepting Editor applications for a contract commencing January-March 2025. Applications must be submitted by September 13, 2024.

NASN's new no-cost NCPD program, School-based Environmental Management of Asthma: Strategies and Health Equity Implications, encourages school nurses to actively collaborate with students, parents, and healthcare providers to identify environmental triggers and implement evidence-based environmental interventions for asthma.
Participants will be able to:
- Identify common environmental triggers that impact the severity of asthma.
- Demonstrate using an environmental history form to assess a student's environmental exposures.
- Recommend prevention and intervention strategies to eliminate exposures to environmental triggers, mobilizing a collaborative interdisciplinary team to manage asthma successfully.
- Articulate asthma health disparities and health equity strategies to incorporate into school nurse practice.
