Team,
Arguments concluded in a key voting rights trial in Mississippi today. You may remember us reaching out to share that Ty is a plaintiff in this case and lent his testimony recently.
Ty joined the ACLU and Southern Poverty Law Center in bringing this case forward to address racial inequities in Mississippi’s Supreme Court districts. Those inequities have meant that the Mississippi Supreme Court has only seen four Black justices and never more than one at a time. That fact is a feature, not an error, in our current system – and Ty is fighting to right that wrong.
While we (not so) patiently wait for the court’s decision in this case, Ty’s not stopping his work. This issue goes beyond Mississippi, and ensuring fair access to the ballot for every American is a key tenet of Ty’s campaign for the U.S. Senate.
Restrictive voting laws make it difficult for voters to get accurate information and know when and how to cast their ballot. Our team is on the ground providing details on registering for the election and how to find their polling place – but we need your help to keep our work going strong.
Will you contribute to our voter turnout efforts in Mississippi by chipping in $10, $25, or any other amount today? [link removed]
Your support is making a true difference in Mississippi. Thank you for standing with us!

The son of a tractor driver, Ty doesn’t come from a wealthy family. He was born and raised in the small town of Rolling Fork, and is a proud son of the Mississippi Delta.
Frustrated by the lack of action from lawmakers on the issues facing people in Mississippi–and believing that the hard-working voters of Mississippi deserve much better–Ty Pinkins decided to run for office: the United States Senate in 2024.
