Volunteering for a role is one of the best ways to take part in an action and get to know other people in XR.

Bea, a steward volunteer said: “We need people keeping everyone safe. It’s really easy, everything you need is provided to you, and it will be great fun.”

Over half the shifts for Upgrade Democracy have already been filled, but we need to fill around 400 more! So please consider volunteering to make this event safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Can't come to Windsor?
We also need help right now with preparations and with some home-based roles during the event too.

Most roles involve walking and/or interacting with other people but we also have some more accessible roles too. So please get in touch if you have questions so we can find the perfect role for you, contact [email protected].

The priority roles that need to be filled are:

Outreach - working in small teams around Windsor talking to the public.
Stewards and Roadtakers - keeping rebels safe at the campsite and on the marches and actions.
Logistics - setting up the site on Thursday and moving things around.
Sustenance - preparing and serving food.
Keeping the site clean.

We also have shorter duration roles like holding a banner or flag on a march which are really important for creating successful photos of actions.
