Saturday is National Nonprofit Day, a day that reminds us of how much we can help each other -- and the world -- when we come together and act. It's also a chance to show you how much we appreciate your support, and illustrate just how much your support truly provides care and relief to people across the world.

For that reason, I want to share a few stories of the lives we've changed together:

Yealie gained lifesaving training...

Yealie is a midwife at the Waterloo Community Health Center in Sierra Leone. She attended a week-long training, supported by Project HOPE, on how to resuscitate newborns in the "golden minute" after they are born. People like Yealie, with our support, can do even more to change their communities for the better -- from the very start of life.

Shahd got vital medical supplies to heal...

Shahd, just 18 years old, was terribly injured in the airstrike that killed her immediate family. After leaving the hospital, Project HOPE helped her heal by providing supplies like dressings, vitamins, and medication.

Jesús and his family received health care...

Jesús and his family had been traveling for 22 days after leaving Venezuela, sleeping outside or at gas stations, in hopes of finding safety and a chance to work. They received free primary care at a Project HOPE clinic near the Colombia-Ecuador border. It was the first time any of them had seen a doctor in months.
