New solicitations

DES starting solicitation for executive recruitment consulting services contract

DES is seeking a new statewide contract for executive recruitment consulting services. 

We are currently preparing the documents for contract 03024. The contractors selected will help organizations find and recruit qualified candidates for executive management and other specialized positions. We expect to award the contract by the end of November.

Please complete this survey on your agency’s interest in executive recruitment consulting services.

In the meantime, if you need recruitment services, you may use direct buy or other competition exemptions as outlined in RCW 39.26.125. Please contact the DES Contracts Liaison at [email protected] to determine the best procurement approach for your organization while we finalize the statewide contract.

Contract changes

DES removes contractor from HVAC contract

DES removed MacDonald Miller Facility Services from contract 02919 for HVAC services. This went into effect June 30.

DES removes contractor from fuel contract

DES removed Associated Petroleum Products, Inc. from contract 08721, effective Aug. 13. The contract summary page has information on other available contractors that will provide fuel to purchasers.

DES adds contractor to transportation systems contract

DES added Evergreen ITS to contract 04616 for illumination, traffic signal and intelligent transportation systems equipment, effective Aug. 1, as a subcontractor for Cubic ITS.

DES updates name of contractor in janitorial contract

DES updated contract 24723 for janitorial services to reflect a change in a contractor’s name. Agile Healthcare is now operating as Agile Squad Pro, LLC.

DES updated contract 07821 for personnel investigation services and digital forensics to reflect a change in a contractor’s name. Deborah A. Diamond dba D. Diamond Consulting is now doing business as D. Diamond Consulting LLC.

Expiring electric vehicle supply equipment contract may lead to purchasing gap

Contract 04016 for electric vehicle supply and equipment (EVSE) will expire Sept. 9, so there will be a gap in contract coverage. We encourage purchasers to place orders before the expiration date.  

We are in the process of developing a new contract, 23123, and expect to award it in October.

Contract feedback

DES seeks feedback on non-custom uniforms and accessories contract

DES is holding a virtual listening session at on Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. for contract 01417, non-custom uniforms and accessories. We would like to know how purchasers use this contract and get any other feedback on it. Please reach out to April Cole for a link to join the session.

DES adding climate branding information to procurement manual

DES is adding information about the Climate Commitment Act (CCA) branding to the procurement manual. To increase public awareness of how CCA funding is used, the Office of the Governor is directing state agencies managing CCA-funded programs to include CCA branding and funding acknowledgement in their contracts and agreements.

You can find this information in the procurement manual in the section marked, Climate Commitment Act branding.
