First time voters like me are the driving force for change and we are ready to prove that this November.

John–

I grew up in Wisconsin, a state with a strong sense of gun culture. And with that culture comes inaction on gun violence.

That's why I got involved with Students Demand Action.

Volunteering with Students Demand Action has given me a voice in the fight for meaningful change in my community.

My voice matters, and so does my vote. My vote is my power and so is yours. And I know together, we can flex this power in November by defeating extremism at the ballot box.

I'm excited to vote for the first time, and that Kamala Harris will be at the top of the ticket. I know she is the right candidate to fight against extremism and focus on safety not only in our schools but in our communities across the country.

I am all in to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz into the White House this November! I'm voting for my future. Join me by committing to vote in this year's elections.

COMMIT TO VOTE

I have grown as an activist and been a part of many new experiences while in this movement, starting on the Students Demand Action texting team, joining our national training team, and even attending my very first Gun Sense University in Washington, D.C. All of these experiences prepared me to start and lead a Students Demand Action chapter at the University of Washington.

I am in awe of other students I have met in this movement and their dedication to creating a future free from gun violence. That is why I am so optimistic that we can bring an end to the gun violence epidemic in the United States.

So many young people have been affected by gun violence. We have grown up with the fear of gun violence in our schools. But we will end that.

Because to me, freedom means being able to go to class or walk across campus without the fear of gun violence.

One of my goals this semester is to hold a voter registration drive on campus to get my campus ready to vote for Kamala Harris.

Voting is the most direct form of participation—it is how we can make sure our voices are heard. And my generation is an electoral powerhouse. Will you join us?

John, I'm voting to build a country free from gun violence. Do your part by committing to vote in November's elections.

Thank you for being in this movement,

Halle Norenberg
