John -

The Democratic National Convention (DNC) is being held in Chicago next week.

And Big Oil lobbyists will be there to try to push their climate-wrecking agenda. So will greedy, for-profit utility companies, who are buying influence with both political parties to maintain the status quo: sky-high bills and dirty fossil fuel energy sources.

That's why it's critical that we send climate activists to the DNC to represent the climate movement, and the interests of the people.

I will explain exactly what our plan is for the DNC in just a moment, but first: can you make a $3.50 donation today to help send as many climate activists as possible to the DNC?

CONTRIBUTE $3.50

The DNC is much more than the convention where the Democratic presidential nominee is selected. It's also a space where lobbyists and activists convene to try and influence politics.

At the DNC, fossil fuel and utility company lobbyists will be whispering in policymakers' ears and trying to dissuade them from committing to bold climate actions. We can't let them go unchallenged.

So what are we going to do about it?

I am going to the DNC, and I'm bringing a team of climate activists with me. Our plan is twofold: to disrupt the fossil fuel industry's attempts to garner support for continued climate destruction, and to instead get Democrats to commit to climate action and utility justice.

We will need to be in as many conversations as possible, and we need to be the loudest voice in the room, so that we can push the new administration — if elected — for a complete phase-out of fossil fuels and invest in just, sustainable, community-owned renewable energy for all.

But we can't do it without you, John.

DNC costs are exorbitant, and unlike Big Oil lobbyists with their bottomless pockets of money, we will need your support to maximize our impact at the convention. We're relying on you to afford attendance, travel to Chicago and in between hotels and event locations, basic lodging, food and video equipment, so we can organize for bold climate action around the clock and get policymakers and influencers on the record about climate and utilities.

And with just four days left until the DNC begins, I have to ask: can you help us put climate on the agenda in Chicago?

If you can, please consider making a donation today so we can push for bold climate action at the DNC, and grow our climate movement to hold policymakers accountable to their promises.

This is our chance to shape the future of U.S. climate politics. Because the DNC is only the beginning — it will be laying the foundation for climate action in the next four years in the case of a Democratic win.

I'll keep you posted throughout the week on how your generous contribution is helping us protect our climate and our communities. Thank you for your support in this crucial moment.

Onward,
