Fired Up for Local: Laune Bread
Have you ever tasted bread that tells a story? The loaves and pastries at Laune Bread [ [link removed] ] in Minneapolis do just that, all while championing Minnesota Grown ingredients.
Chris MacLeod and Tiff Singh, the heart and soul behind Laune Bread, have a profound commitment to local farmers. Their journey started with a simple yet powerful idea: to prioritize local sourcing, starting with grains. This idea blossomed into a thriving bakery where nearly 99% of ingredients for their staple loaf are sourced within 200 miles.

Talk to a Farmer at the State Fair
The Minnesota State Fair’s roots run deep in local agriculture, so when you plan your state fair trip this year, *stop by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture wing in the Agriculture/Horticulture Building!*
In the Minnesota Grown area, you can chat with a local farmer and pick up a FREE Minnesota Grown reusable Swedish dishcloth, pose with the #MNGrown barn, and show your local pride with a free temporary tattoo.
This year, we're updating our display of local products to show how they can be incorporated into everyday life. *Come marvel at the wide variety of items that can be sourced from producers in our state!*
Many Minnesota Grown members are onsite at the fair or have products available from the state’s agricultural bounty. Look for the first crunchy apples, taste sweet honey ice cream, hug a Christmas tree, bite into elk jerky, and much more! (Did we mention wine slushies?) Support your local farmers by finding them at the fair.
