Check out the classic cars, grab some delicious BBQ, coffee & sweet treats from Burnt Ends Barbecue & Nutty Nettie's Cafe. Enjoy incredible craft brews from Lost Valley Brewing Company, Gritty McDuff's, Side By Each Brewing Co. and Craft Brew Underground! DJ Scotty Dawg will be spinning tunes. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. Presented in partnership with Twisted Steel CC Maine.



The City of Auburn is proud to be part of the 2024 Lewiston-Auburn Balloon Festival, presented by Emerson Toyota!

Lake Grove Park will be closed again tomorrow (Friday, 8/16) from 7:00 to 11:00AM, so Auburn Public Works can put the finishing touches on some recent improvements.

This Saturday is the August date for Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) drop off at the Lewiston Environmental Depot.

On the third Saturday of each month, May through October, Auburn residents or property owners can bring HHW to the Environmental Depot located at 424 River Road in Lewiston from 8:00 - 11:45AM.

The next transformer move will take place overnight this coming MONDAY (8/19) beginning at 9:30PM. The convoy will be moving at a “walking pace,” so motorists should expect significant delays. Walking spotters and bucket trucks will be on hand to lift overhead wires for clearance.

AUBURN ROUTE:

Rodman Road to Washington Street S, Philomar Street, Washington Street N, Minot Avenue, Union Street, Center Street and onto the Veteran’s Bridge to Lewiston. Temporary road closures will take place along the route. This trek through Auburn took about 3.5 to 4 hours last week.

LEWISTON ROUTE:

Enter Russell St from Vet’s Bridge and turn Left onto College St. Continue on College St and turn left onto Merrill Rd. Continue on Merrill Rd and make and turn right onto Main St. Continue on Main St and turn right at entrance to 1653 Main St.

The Lewiston-Auburn Balloon Festival PARADE will take place this Saturday starting at 10:00AM!

The parade steps off from the corner of Elm & Main Streets in Auburn. Please note: the route is DIFFERENT this year! The parade is heading through New Auburn on its way to Lewiston. There is also a "quiet zone" for those with sensory issues (no horns, sirens, etc.) just over the bridge on Cedar Street.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Main Street in Auburn will be CLOSING at approximately 9:45AM. Other roadways, including the Lown Bridge, will also close to allow the parade to pass. Please seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
