In this week’s primary, the GOP tried to amend the Wisconsin Constitution in retribution for Governor Evers using COVID emergency funds to keep Wisconsin afloat during the pandemic.
Their proposal: strip away the Wisconsin governor’s authority over emergency funds.
We know what they were trying to do, friend – because their game is always the same: break our government, then point to the wreckage to convince voters that the government can never help.
That’s why we went on offense. Governor Evers barnstormed the state. Legislators held town hall meetings. Allied groups knocked on doors, sent mailers, ran ads. And WisDems drove a full-fledged statewide campaign, telling Wisconsinites to vote NO.
And we won, friend.
This is what happens when we stand together, united, to protect our constitution, protect our democracy, and secure our state’s future. And with your help, we’re going to do it again in November.

This week, in voting NO on the intentionally confusing Constitutional amendments engineered by Republican politicians to undermine the governor, voters had the final say.
Wisconsinites rejected GOP power grabs, and chose responsive and effective government.
The GOP's plan has imploded – but they’re not done playing games with our state. And the only way we can stop them is if we flip the majority in at least one chamber of the legislature this November.
And that's exactly the plan.
This week, Wisconsin voters defeated an attempt by MAGA politicians to bend our constitution.
In November, Wisconsin Democrats will ensure the Republican politicians who pushed this power grab will be defeated as well. But only if folks like you continue to stand with us, build our grassroots team, and chip in $24 to support our work.
