Ballot Access Road Trip!?The Iowa Green Party is asking?for our help. They need 500 signatures?before their August 24 deadline. It helps all of us for Jill to make it on the ballot in Iowa.?

Urgent request from Green Party of Iowa for Missouri Greens to help?THIS WEEK!

From Holly Hart, who is organizing the ballot access effort in Iowa. The Iowa Green Party needs to get 500 signatures at their convention, which is being held outside of the state fair.?

On the last Ballot Access Committee call, the possibility of having a couple of petitioners at the IA state fair in Des Moines was mentioned. Ideally, this would be?this Saturday, but possibly sometime this coming week. This would be one?day (early morning to about 9 pm or until the needed signatures are gathered.

So far, we have 2-3 volunteers to staff a 'station' just outside the?fair. This isn't a great response - folks here will gladly table, but are often?reluctant to circulating petitions where you have to go up to someone?directly.

If we had 2-3 petitioners and some leaflets, this could still work?this Saturday. It could work later this coming week. If not, the week?after - final deadline is August 24th.

I'm still trying to drum up volunteers to petition here, but if any of you?know of petitioners who could be in Iowa this Saturday or sometime in?the next couple weeks for a one-day event, we would cover the entry?cost.

Is there anyone in Missouri who can make a road trip to Iowa to help out?
