As Chairman of the Lake County Republican Party, I’ve seen my share of political attacks, but what we’re witnessing right now is the most disgusting and deceitful smear campaign in the history of our county.

Mike Levine, our strongest pro-Trump conservative candidate for State Representative, has become the target of a vile and baseless attack by his radical left-wing opponent. This despicable individual has twisted a police report from the 1990s, where Mike was the victim of a violent crime, and is now attempting to reframe him as the culprit. I would have never expected anyone to sink this low.

Let me make this crystal clear: Mike Levine was the victim of a brutal crime in 1998. The individual responsible for the attack, later described by state attorneys as a "vociferous liar" and a "psychopath," filed a false police report against Mike. This case was ultimately dismissed as frivolous and fake by the elected state attorney.

The truth prevailed then, and it will prevail now.

The people of Lake County deserve to know the truth: these attacks are nothing more than desperate lies from a desperate campaign. Mike Levine has my full endorsement, and I stand with him 100%. I am also proud to say that over 30 Christian pastors and ministers are standing with Mike, recognizing these attacks for what they are — vile lies meant to derail his campaign.

Now more than ever, we need to rally around Mike Levine and show our support. The radical left may think they can silence us with their deceitful tactics, but they are wrong. Together, we will fight back and ensure that the truth is heard.
