But unlike Donald, our grassroots movement to defeat right-wing extremists and defend our democracy can’t afford to waste a single dollar. We’re committed to running a multi-pronged approach to counter the attacks on our democratic republic that are coming from all sides — that includes focusing on key battleground races, funding both at-risk incumbents and Democratic challengers with the best chance of flipping a red seat.

But doing that effectively takes major resources, and it requires that we hit every single one of our fundraising benchmarks. There is only one pro-democracy party on the ballot this November, and that is the Democratic party. Anybody who claims otherwise is either lying or not paying attention.

And though Democrats have the support of people like you and me who are committed to preserving our democracy and our freedoms, Republicans too often have the fundraising advantage thanks to Donald and his network of special interest funders.

It takes tens of thousands to millions of dollars to have an impact in a House race depending on the district — and don’t get me started on the cost of engaging in battleground Senate races. And while that might seem overwhelming, the truth of the matter is that every dollar counts.

Every $5, $10, $25 donation [[link removed]] is helping us educate people about voter suppression and voter subversion and while reaching voters in states like Ohio, Montana, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Arizona. And the results of the investments we make — or don’t make — throughout the cycle compound, which means a cut one month turns into lost ground for the next three.
