We’ll get through this together.

Dear John,

April 30, 8pm:

Now, more than ever, we need the medicine of laughter as we save Mother Earth.

That’s why CCAN is excited to sponsor the DC-area comic Robert Mac and his hilarious new show called “Comedy Night for Mother Earth.” It’s a one-hour zoom special to mark the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and help victims of COVID-19. It will premiere Thursday, April 30, at 8:00pm ET. Tickets are just $10. Proceeds go to the Capital Area Food Bank.

RSVP now for “Comedy Night for Mother Earth.” April 30 at 8:00pm ET. This live zoom-show stars Robert Mac and is sponsored by Chesapeake Climate Action Network. Tickets are just $10 but space is limited. Proceeds will benefit the Capital Area Food Bank in Washington DC to help families harmed by the coronavirus.

On this 50th anniversary of Earth Month, comedian Robert Mac has come up with "50 Tips for How to Love Your Mother." Click here to see how laugh-out-loud funny they are. Did you know, for example, that by switching to the metric system we can reduce future global warming in the U.S. from 7 degrees to 2 degrees? Overnight!

Mac has been a grand prize winner of Comedy Central’s Laugh Riots and has been featured at the prestigious Just for Laughs festival in Montreal — among other honors. He is one of the best “environmental comics” in the nation. Again, you can check out some of his “50 Ways to Love Your Mother (Earth)” tips here.

Mac will be joined by Kasha Patel. She is a leading regional comic who has been featured in the Washington Post, TedX, and the BBC. The show will also feature Matt Dundas, a former DC-area comic who is now getting closer to nature back in Maine. All three will fill up your Zoom screen for a lively hour of comedy with only minor interruptions from CCAN to highlight our vital climate work in Maryland, Virginia, and on Capitol Hill.

RSVP now for the “Comedy Night for Mother Earth” show, featuring Robert Mac and sponsored by Chesapeake Climate Action Network, at 8:00pm ET on April 30. Tickets are $10 but space is limited. Proceeds benefit the Capital Area Food Bank in Washington DC.

For every $10 ticket sale we donate, the Capital Area Food Bank will be able to feed 25 people in this time of need. So RSVP now and tell all your friends.

CCAN is proud to host this first-ever online comic show devoted to climate humor and virus justice.

See you at the show Thursday!

Onward,

Mike Tidwell

Director, Chesapeake Climate Action Network
