We did it, John.
Last night, Rep. Ilhan Omar officially won her primary.
Voters in Minnesota’s Fifth Congressional District rejected right-wing attacks once again — and made it clear that they want MORE of Rep. Omar’s courageous leadership and representation in Congress.
Rep. Omar has delivered millions for her community, led the fight for affordable housing, and been an urgent voice in Congress in calling for a stop to the flow of bombs to the Israeli government. And her decisive victory last night is a huge blow to the Republican megadonors who had promised to spend $100 million in Democratic primaries to defeat the entire Squad this primary season.
But we know the ultimate goal of MAGA megadonors this year wasn’t just to defeat progressive champions like Ilhan. They are now laser-focused on taking back full control of Congress and the White House in November — and we have to be too.
Contribute to the WFP General Election Fund so we can block MAGA and keep electing working people's champions up and down the ballot.

We won’t pretend that the road so far this cycle has been an easy one.
Despite victories for congressional WFP champions like Summer Lee, Rashida Tlaib, AOC, and more, we suffered real setbacks too.
Both Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush lost their reelection bids this summer — and their voices will be sorely missed in the halls of Congress. But we won't let that slow us down.
It took nearly $24 million from AIPAC and their GOP-funders to win these two primaries — in what became two most expensive House primaries in history.
That simple fact is a testament to how much of a threat our movement is to the GOP and pro-billionaire status quo. And it’s all the encouragement we need to double-down our efforts and work even HARDER to win for working families.
They wanted to divide and weaken us. They failed. And we are not about to let them succeed in November either.
Between now and November, WFP and our biggest allies plan to knock on over five million doors across key swing states.
We want to reach voters everywhere — on the doors, online, and on the phones.
But a nationwide plan like this takes time and resources. And we don’t have any time to lose.
Contribute to WFP’s General Election Fund now, and ensure that our movement has the resources and energy to win big in November.
More soon,
Team WFP
