Today marks the 89th birthday of the most popular and successful program in American history: Social Security. For nearly a century, Democrats have fought to protect and expand Social Security since FDR first signed it into law. It’s been a lifeline for millions of Americans. However, despite claiming they support it, MAGA extremists have a new plan to cut benefits and raise the retirement age. They’ve said so themselves in their Project 2025 plan. It’s pretty scary stuff.
