Hi, John, it's Coach Kerr again. I know I've been in your inbox a lot lately, but you know I wouldn't reach out again if it weren't important.

Right now, Team Brady is working to hit their $100,000 back-to-school goal to fund the movement to get guns OUT of schools, but we're still falling short. So Brady is MATCHING all donations from first time donors! Can I count on you to give $5, $25, or whatever you can afford today so that we can build a world where no child has to fear for their safety in their own classroom?

As a parent and a gun violence survivor myself, this fight is personal. When I see gun violence in the news, I can't help but think about my father, who was killed in a senseless act of gun violence when I was just 18. And I can't help but think of my own kids and grandkids and the danger they're in every single day.

All across the country, kids are growing up in fear. They're learning how to muffle the sounds of their crying so a shooter won't be able to hear them, what furniture to use to barricade the doors, and where to hide in case someone comes into the classroom with a weapon of war.

John, even though my kids are grown now, I can't help but wonder what I would have done if I saw one of my kids' schools on the news — or every parent's worst nightmare, getting the call saying one of them was shot. But I do know that far too many families have already gone through the unimaginable fear, pain, and grief of a school shooting.

Families deserve to prepare for back to school without also preparing for the possibility of a mass shooting. Kids deserve to learn and play at school without the fear of gun violence. They've been given the title of Lockdown Generation — and now it's up to us to make sure it doesn't stick.

Brady is working day in and day out to pass common-sense legislation that will save lives, but they won’t be able to do the work without all of us in this fight with them.

So I’m asking you to join me and Brady in this fight today by chipping in to help them reach their $100,000 back-to-school goal. Will you give $5 or more (worth twice as much!) to help us end the gun violence epidemic and save lives?

Thank you for taking action today, John.
