John,
Project 2025 is a meticulously detailed right-wing extremist plan that would gut many human needs programs. Among other things, Project 2025 includes:
-
Military raids to deport up to 5 million immigrants1
-
Purging 50,000 civil servants and replacing them with Trump loyalists2
-
Gutting racial equity programs and climate initiatives3
-
Taking SNAP food assistance away from families while making it tougher to access benefits4
-
Threatening health care coverage for up to 18.5 million Americans via a Medicaid lifetime cap5
-
Extending the 2017 Trump tax cuts for the wealthy while deepening giveaways to corporations6
-
Shutting down the Department of Education and stripping the enforcement authority of its Office of Civil Rights
-
And, diverting billions of dollars in public school funding to private school vouchers while gutting funding for special education and schools that serve low-income children7
A recent survey found that 43% of Americans who are familiar with Project 2025 view it unfavorably -- including Republicans. The survey also showed that its unfavorability rating continues to increase across party lines.8
We’re doing everything we can to fight back against this right-wing agenda that is completely out of step with the American public.
Join us tomorrow, Thursday, August 15 at 3pm ET for our latest webinar, “Project 2025’s Threats to Human Needs Programs.”
