Voter ID laws should never stop an eligible voter from making their voice heard. Unfortunately, we know that millions of Americans lack a current, unexpired photo ID, and that puts them at risk of being turned away at the polls, or staying home out of confusion or shame.
At VoteRiders, we work every day to empower those voters with the information and free help they need to secure an ID and vote with confidence. But that takes time, people-power, and of course — money.
This month, we’re thrilled to announce that VoteRiders has been selected as one of CREDO Mobile’s August grant recipients.
Here’s what that means: CREDO Mobile, the phone carrier working to make the world a better place, holds an online vote to divide their funds among three amazing nonprofits. Anyone can cast a vote for free, and your vote determines how big of a grant we’ll receive.
