Team,
Bob’s mom was a special education public school teacher. Growing up hearing stories of her classroom sparked an interest in education. Now he’s ready to make education a top priority for Washington State as Governor. Before we share more, can you support Bob’s campaign with a donation?
As Governor, Bob will fully fund special education. He will prioritize education to ensure that half of every dollar we spend supports our schools. He will build first-class rural schools. He will increase high-intensity tutors, mental health services, counselors, and nurses to support student well-being. He will ensure that no students are hungry in class. And he will block extreme efforts to ban books and close libraries.
Bob has a record of supporting student health and safety as Attorney General. He helped pass laws to improve school safety and health. He launched the first statewide helpline for Washington youth. And he’s fighting to reform social media giants to make reforms to combat depression and other youth mental health challenges.
On the other side is anti-choice Republican Dave Reichert, who recently said in a Seattle Times video that “we really need to evaluate where the spending in our education system is being applied” and, as an example, criticized Washington for having some of the highest paid teachers.
Yes — Reichert believes that Washington public school teachers are overpaid.
Teaching is one of the most important jobs in the state. Teachers deserve our respect and to be paid more, not less.
We need your help to support a future Governor who recognizes the impact teachers have on our kids and the future of our state. Pitch in now to help Bob become Washington’s next Governor and expand public education.
Thank you for your support,
Team Ferguson
