There’s a chance you haven’t heard much about Dr. Ruiz’s MAGA opponent — and maybe that’s because he doesn’t even have an issues page on his website.

But here’s what you need to know: he’s just plain weird.

He claimed in a recent interview that the biggest problem facing our district was “an attack on traditional values.”

Dr. Raul Ruiz is running on real issues, like expanding access to affordable healthcare and addressing the rising cost of living that’s impacting folks across CA-25 and the country at large. But wait — there’s more.

Not only did he say that “traditional values” were under attack (at that point, just SAY you’re against women’s reproductive rights), he said that his “solution” to this made-up problem was to… do nothing:

“My prescription for that is not a bunch of laws that I want to pass…”

Last time we checked, legislating is part of being a legislator. Dr. Ruiz’s MAGA opponent is literally admitting that he doesn’t plan to do the job.

Like we said — weird.
