Like nearly every facet of life, the coronavirus pandemic put a pause on this year’s state legislative sessions. Before the virus hit the US, ASA was an integral part of the team that had already defeated the anti-gun factions in Virginia who wanted to ban and confiscate every lawfully obtained suppressor in the Commonwealth. Legislatures may be on hold for now, but they will not be on hold forever.
Whether it’s later this year or the beginning of next, ASA will be on the ground in every state where suppressor ownership or their use while hunting is still prohibited. We will continue to spearhead the efforts to protect your right to own and use suppressors in any state that tries to ban them. We will also continue to work in DC to educate lawmakers about suppressors so that when the next opportunity arises to pass pro-suppressor reform, we will be ready to take the shot. We will work with the White House to push for pro-suppressor regulatory reform, and we will monitor and assist ATF in any and every way necessary to increase efficiencies and reduce wait times.
TLDR: the American Suppressor Association will fight for your rights. Will you support us?
