Hi John.

I’ve heard from many Kansans who are struggling with higher prices on everyday essentials like groceries, gas, and health care. That’s why I’ve made lowering costs for Kansans a top priority.

For example, I heard from Julie, who lives in Overland Park. She has diabetes and depends on her insulin to stay healthy. But Julie was faced with having to pay thousands of dollars per year for her medicine. No one should ever be forced to choose between paying for their mortgage or a lifesaving prescription.

Because of Julie and many others like her, I helped pass a law to cap insulin prices at $35 a month for seniors.

Click here to see Julie share her story and how I’m pushing to build an economy that works for everyone.

The new cap on insulin prices for seniors on Medicare is making a real difference for Julie and many other Kansans. You can click here to learn more about Julie and her story on Fox4 KC.

Julie now doesn’t have to worry about paying another $650 a month thanks to the new law. But I understand that there’s a lot more to do.

That includes lowering more costs and creating a better economy for the middle class.

That’s why I’m supporting a bipartisan bill to double tax cuts for child care. I’m also working with both parties to lower your grocery prices. That includes helping Kansas farmers grow and deliver food more cheaply, and by stopping corporate price gouging.

And as I keep pushing for concrete and bipartisan solutions to build an economy that works for everyone, please know that my team and I are always here to help however we can.

My warmest regards,
