John,

We appreciate your patience as we worked through the recent technical
difficulties with our donation page. Now that the issue has been
resolved, we need your support more than ever to ensure every child
receives the nutritious meals they need to thrive this school year!

Food is the most important school supply, and there are unsung heroes
across the country who work hard every day to ensure hungry kids get
the meals they need to learn, grow and thrive at school.

As food service director at Vaughn Next Century Learning Center,
Frances Montoya-Gatewood and her team members drive over 50 miles
every morning to ensure kids get the most important meal of the day.
Frances experienced hunger herself growing up and is proud of her work
and her community's support for hungry kids.

Chef Reggie will dress up as Spider-Man or a watermelon and do
anything else to make sure the kids at Fulton County school district
in Georgia are happy and have the food they need to thrive. He is a
product of the district and sees his work as being about showing care
and love for our kids as well as providing a good meal.

Candy Biehle is a school child nutrition director in Smithville,
Texas, who also knows how powerful school meals can be. She organizes
an afterschool meals program that provides essential meals and
opportunities for kids to continue learning in their community.
Recently, the kids put on the chef's hat and learned how to make
spaghetti squash.

Every single dollar of your support for No Kid Hungry, helps make it
possible for Frances to deliver food to kids early in the morning in
California, for Chef Reggie to cook lunch at school in Georgia, and
for Candy to provide students with essential life skills along with a
good afterschool meal in Texas.

With children heading back to school across the country right now,
we've set a $50,000 back-to-school fundraising goal to support
heroes for hungry kids like Frances, Chef Reggie and Candy - and
fund all our efforts that can help provide children with the essential
nutrition they need at school. Will you please give $50 or more now to
help us ensure kids have the meals and resources they need to thrive
at school this year?
