Friend -
Like many of you, I've witnessed (firsthand) the energy out there for Kamala Harris since Joe Biden did the patriotic thing and decided not to run for re-election.
I joined her for an enormous rally in Michigan where the enthusiasm was off the charts (and trust me, it wasn’t fake or AI-generated). I've also seen the polls that showed Joe Biden down in Michigan do an about-face and now show Kamala Harris with a small lead.
So what does that mean for our race?
It's a double-edged sword. First, it's obviously good for us (and America) when the Democratic nominee for president does better. The more votes she gets, the more votes I get. We help each other greatly in the effort to keep Michigan blue, specifically with voter turnout.
But at the same time, Republicans who may have seen Trump's leads in Michigan and focused their energy on other states, now have a renewed focus here.
Because there is absolutely no winning the White House without winning Michigan. That means increased spending, more negative ads, and more Republican efforts to get out their voters before and on Election Day.
That also means we have to raise a bit more money than we might have otherwise.
And there is no meeting our budgets without an increase in grassroots support. That can only come from people like you.
Believe me, I wish I didn't have to send these emails. But they are necessary if we're going to win. So I am formally asking:

Thank you again. Your support means the world to me. And when we win this race, it will be in large part because of your support.
