Adam is an original co-sponsor of the Bipartisan Background Checks Act and
the Enhanced Background Checks Act. These are both commonsense solutions

intent to harm others. In 2022, he helped pass the Bipartisan Safer
Communities Act, the first major gun safety legislation signed into law in
nearly 30 years.
