Hey, friend, can I share some personal thoughts with you? At the end of the day, when possible, I like to take some time for reflection, and tonight, I'm feeling worried.

We have a huge opportunity in this election.

We have a chance to make history and elect Texas' first Black Senator.

We have a chance to help Democrats pick up a seat and defend the Senate majority.

We have a chance to give 30 million Texans the Senator we deserve.

And we have a chance to finally retire one of the most self-serving and divisive politicians in the Senate – to show the rest of the country that Ted Cruz is NOT who we are as Texans.

So, with this amazing opportunity in front of us, why am I so worried?

I'm worried we're going to miss this chance. I'm worried we're going to let Ted Cruz use his massive war chest and attack ads to drown us out. I'm worried about what’s at stake if we lose.

Let me be clear: This race is winnable. Cruz won his last race by just over 2%, and three straight polls show us statistically tied. I've spent months on the road meeting with voters, and they are ready for change.

But it takes a ton of resources to keep this campaign going, and it's going to be an all-out sprint from here until Election Day. Winning this race will take more than just my efforts – I need your help.

So now, I'm personally asking:

Will you chip in $5 or more ahead of my mid-month deadline to help reach our critical $500,000 goal? Every dollar helps power our grassroots movement to defeat Ted Cruz. Every dollar gets us closer to giving Texans the leadership we deserve.

Thank you so much for being in this with me. Together, I know we can win.
