Dear John – 

 

I hope you'll take a minute today to let me catch you up on one of the most important races in Minnesota this year.

 

The State House could flip to Republicans this year, but there are only a handful of seats that are truly competitive. The one that will almost certainly be the closest is in Saint Cloud and currently held by my friend, DFLer Dan Wolgamott.

 

Nobody works harder to represent his district than Dan, knowing that his voters expect him to find compromise and put Saint Cloud first. He represents his purple district well and delivers for the state and his constituents alike.

 

Critically, if Dan loses, it's hard to see a path to keep the Democratic Majority. That's why I hope you'll take a minute to chip in a few dollars to support his campaign.

 

If this isn't enough of a reason to support him, let me tell you about his opponent who is truly one of the weirdest extremists I have ever seen.

 

The Saint Cloud Times did a write up that says it all. She talks about her dream of a complete ban on abortion, her desire to end marriage equality for the LGBTQ+ community, and her newfound interest in indoctrinating these extreme religious beliefs in our schools.
 

If that's not enough, how about this: she wants to ban the birth control pill – and says the Bible tells her so.

Unfortunately, she has a real chance to get elected to the Minnesota House.
