John, I had to email you about an observation that I’ve made. You’ve probably made it too. It’s about Donald Trump and JD Vance.

These guys are creepy. And, yes, just weird as hell. Right?

I have a lot of questions when it comes to how Donald Trump and JD Vance see the world. There is something deeply wrong with how they talk about freedom.

Freedom to be in your classroom. Freedom to be in your exam room. Freedom to tell your kids what they can read.

When Vice President Harris and I talk about freedom, we mean the freedom to make your own health care decisions. And for our children to be free to go to school without worrying they’ll be shot dead in their classrooms.

For education to be a ticket to the middle class, not crippling debt. For air that’s clean. Water that’s pure. Communities that are safe. A place where we settle our political differences not through violence, but with our votes.

That’s what this election’s about. That’s the choice at hand.
