John, throughout Southern Nevada and across the country, students are packing up their backpacks and heading back to school or off to college for the first time.

And while families and students should be excited to hit the books (or just get the kids out of the house), rising school supply costs make it harder for students to succeed.

Just a few days ago Republicans in the Senate blocked the expanded Child Tax Credit while their VP Candidate, JD Vance, couldn’t even bother to show up for this important vote to help working families. Instead of trying to help families afford everyday essentials, they’re playing politics. If we re-elect Congresswoman Titus, win Democratic majorities, and elect Kamala Harris, we can expand the Child Tax Credit and provide much needed relief.
