John -
Today, 350 local groups from across the country and 350.org are holding
for-profit utility companies accountable for their role in the climate
crisis.
From raising our rates to shutting off services to keeping us on dirty,
unreliable power sources, utility companies are profiting at our expense.
They don’t want the public to understand how they work, so they can
maintain the status quo and pad their margins.
That’s why 350 and our local groups are organizing against utility
companies during our national Week of Action, starting today, and we need
your help to get the message out there in communities across the country.

help expose the relationship between utilities and the fossil fuel
industry, and demand these companies stop burning our future?

As the country and the rest of the world experience another year of
scorching heat waves, private for-profit utility companies — who we rely
upon for our basic necessities like heating and cooling — are keeping us
reliant on climate-wrecking fossil fuels.
This is unacceptable, John. And they are counting on keeping
their relationship with fossil fuels a secret.
In the fight for utility and climate justice, public knowledge is power.
And we need more people to join the movement and fight utility companies
across the country. [ [link removed] ]Please, help us expose their dirty practices and
send a strong message in your community. Send a letter to your editor now!
