[link removed] [[link removed]] Hey — now that we’re in the General Election, my team and I just spent the morning mapping out our path to victory, down to the smallest detail.
Here’s where we landed: We feel great about our message, about our outreach strategy, and about our ability to out-hustle our opponent. But our budget is very much an open question.
We’re up against GOP super PACs that know the road to a House majority runs through this district — and who are determined to unseat Kansas’s only Democratic representative.
I’m going to share something else with you: We were counting on a surge in grassroots donations once I won the Democratic primary, but that hasn’t quite materialized the way we expected — and we need to pick up the pace if we’re going to hit our August fundraising goal, or else face a major disadvantage every single day between now and Nov. 5.
Our first mid-month fundraising deadline of the General Election is just 48 hours away, and it’s important we get back on track before that deadline hits. Can I count on you to pitch in $20, or any amount that works for you?

I also want to make this clear: I don’t expect you or anyone else to donate just because it’s important for our campaign budget.
I’m asking for your support because I’m hoping that, if I lay out why I’m so passionate about this team, this mission, and this work, you’ll believe in this cause strongly enough to contribute your hard-earned money toward its success.
The fact is, I’m running for re-election proudly on my record of getting big things done for Kansas families.
By prioritizing results over partisanship and extremism, we’ve saved Kansans on Medicare $620 per year on insulin, created over 20,000 clean-energy jobs here in KS-03, and brought in millions of dollars for rural communities in Kansas to expand broadband access, ensure clean water, and fix aging roads and bridges.
I’m also proud to be breaking the mold for what people picture when they picture a member of Congress.
Here’s a brief snapshot of my life before I started serving in Washington: I was raised by a single mom and was the first person from my family to attend college. I juggled multiple jobs to pay my way through school. I then worked in economic and community development on Native American reservations. And when I flipped a Republican-held seat, it made me the first LGBTQ+ Native American elected to Congress.
And I’m proud to be fighting hard for our values every single day.
We’re up against extremists who are trying to take away abortion rights, to make life harder for LGBTQ+ Americans, to reduce access to affordable health care, and to undermine our democracy. I’m not afraid to stand up to them and defend our fundamental freedoms — but the reality is, if we’re going to win this fight, we need to flip control of the House. And there’s no realistic world in which we flip control of the House without defending this battleground House seat here in KS-03.
So if you’re with me in this fight, and you’re able to contribute, I’d be sincerely grateful if you could pitch in before our mid-month deadline.

Thanks so much for all your support. Whether or not you’re able to contribute today, I’m thankful to have you on my team.
Thanks,
-Sharice
